Ci sono vignaioli, che cercano di sfruttare il loro maso alla meglio dal punto di vista economico. Altri lo sfruttano al massimo dal punto di vista qualitativo, ed è questo il caso del maso "Premstallerhof", il maso dei Vogel, importante famiglia importatrice di vini sudtirolesi di Zurigo, che con questo maso si sono realizzati un sogno della loro vita. Da qualche anno il maso viene lavorato direttamente dalla Signora Vogel, la quale lo sta trasformando in una tenuta biodinamica. I Rottensteiner poi danno il loro meglio per ottenere ogni anno uno dei migliori Santa Maddalena, che ci siano, e finora hanno sempre avuto successo: un intenso rosso rubino, un aroma fine, leggermente di viola e ciliegia, un sapore pieno con tannini morbidissimi, il tutto con una bella persistenza - il "Premstallerhof" è un vino che non piace solo agli amici delle Schiave.
È un vino molto versatile che si abbina con quasi tutti gli antipasti, carni lesse o arroste, persino con la selvaggina e formaggi non troppo piccanti.
La temperatura consigliata è di 18 - 20 ° C, ma supporta senza problemi anche 22° C.
