Grape variety: Half Cabernet Franc, half Merlot. Training system in wire with simple guyot. Simultaneous ripening of the two varieties. Harvest period mid / late September. Production area: 0.3 hectares of extremely steep slope with clayey and limestone soil, about 300 - 350 m high, facing east. "Frauenriegel" is the cadastral name of a parcel on the eastern slope between Termeno and Cortaccia. Vinification: The simultaneous ripening of the two vines allows them to be vinified together. The grapes are carefully de-stemmed and fermented in open vats. Fermentation time 10 days with two pumpovers per day. Aging in barriques for twelve months in new wood and 8 months in large wood. After 24 months of bottle aging, the wine is put on sale. Up to 2017 bottles are produced per year.
