Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine full of strength and complexity. It characteristic scent of forest berries, peppers and liquorice is underscored by its harmonic acidity and hefty tannins, which are an important condition for long life and successful maturing.
This particular wine is very rich and concentrated, full, deep ruby in colour with intense, almost aggressive herbaceous aromas which evolve and become warm and generous with maturity. They remain intense even after the wine has been in the glass for a considerable time. On the palate it is rich and dry, herbaceous, earthy and long due to its fi rm, tannic structure, characteristics which will enable this wine to mature magnifi cently in bottle for at least a year or two, evolving, mellowing and developing complexity.

'Lafot' Cabernet is a versatile and complex wine, the vines which grow in Magrè. The temperature is mild, the hills sunny. The 12 months ageing in durmast barrels gives to Lafot strength and complexity. The taste is blackberries-like, as well as eucalyptus and pepper.

Cabernet is among South Tyrol's true aristocratic varietal wines and has been cultivated here for over a century. Full dark ruby in colour with a concentrated aroma of blackcurrant and blackberry, rich on the palate with assertive, supple tannins, long with fresh fruit on the finish. The Anticus is cultivated on steep sunny slopes around Magrè and it ages for 20 months in small durmast barriques. The ripened wild fruit taste combined with the soft Merlot and the strong Cabernet give an aromatic character to this wine.
