PRODUCTION AREA: The clay-based, medium-weight soils of Cornaiano, as at Egna and Mazon in the area called Bassa Atesina are warm and thanks to a mild winter climate, are the best possible place in which to grow the Gewürztraminer. The different altitudes of the vineyards contribute to the harmonious, joyous flavour of this wine.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are picked by hand and placed in small containers to prevent excess pressure on the grapes. Gentle pressing and clarification of the must by natural sedimentation. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, without malolactic fermentation. Aging on the lees in steel vats.
TASTING NOTES & FOOD MATCHING: A fine, intense aroma supported by a full but at the same time, harmonious body are characteristics of this grape varietal. "Nouvelle cuisine" offers many more opportunities to enhance the characteristics of this wine, or we suggest the Gewürztraminer with spicy Asian food.

Deion: This Gewürztraminer is pale gold in color. It has an elegant aroma that is typical of the variety, with rose petals and carnations, and is slightly smoky on the nose. On the palate it has an accessible structure and is elegant and full, youthful and quaffable and aromatic with a fine finish. Grape variety: Gewürztraminer - South Tyrol DOC. Production area: The grapes for this Gewürztraminer are grown at an altitude of approx. 400 m on loamy chalk gravel soils in the vineyards of Appiano, Caldaro and Bolzano. Vinification: After temperature-controlled fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at 19°C for one week, the wine is aged in stainless steel. Food pairing: Best enjoyed well chilled with raw fish, boiled beef and root vegetables and aromatic wok dishes. Serving temperature: 12 - 14°C. Ageing potential: 3 - 5 years. Thanks to the elevated location of Penon village, accentuated elegance, crisp freshness and distinct acidity characterize our Pinot Blanc. The late harvest in October encourages persistence and opulence through a stimulating bouquet of apple and pineapple. A suitable appetizer as an aperitif, and a fruity-fresh companion to light starters, fish dishes and white meats. On the slopes of Margreid is planted the Penon vineyard with its pure limestone gravel soils.
A prominent mineral vein lends a lasting freshness to the almost oily body that is scented with roses, magnolias, and lychees.
This wine is made carefully selected Gewürztraminer grapes, which comes the area of St. Pauls called St. Justina. It has a delicate, aromatic and warm-spicy flavour which reminiscent of cinnamon, nutmeg, and rose petals. It is rich and round on the palate and is one of South Tyrol's best known wines.
