La Rose de Manincor - absolute elegance for certain opportunities: its opulence and succulence - its colour alone fires the imagination - make it a delicious spring and summer wine.
Grape varieties: Lagrein, Merlot, Cabernet, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Syrah
Colour: bright pale salmon red
Aroma and flavour: reminiscent of raspberry and cherry on the nose, succulent and creamy on the palate with excellent length characterised by elegant tannins and a mineral-fruity aftertaste.
Site and soil: our best red wine sites in the Manincor estate and the "Seehof" site at Kaltern, south-east facing slopes at an altitude of 250 m above sea level. Soils here are rich consisting of sand and clay mixed with limestone gravel and morainal debris.
Winemaking: La Rose de Manincor is the result of the top red wine batches being made by the saignée method, i.e. bleeding off a proportion of wine after only short contact with the skins - in this case 24 hours; it increases the ratio of skins to juice in the vat in order to obtain a red wine with more colour and tannin. Consequently the composition and character of the rosé wine may vary slightly year to year. The lightly coloured juice so obtained is fermented in oak barrels partially using yeasts occurring naturally on the grapes. The young wine is subsequently matured on the fine lees to allow the aromas and flavour to develop.
Serving suggestions: very lightly chilled, at 50 - 54 °F
Food recommendations: well-seasoned first courses, fried and smoked fish, dishes with white and grilled meat.

As a rule, our South Tyrolean Mini-Schüttelbrot is eaten between meals (during a so-called 'Jause' or 'Brotzeit') or rather during a light afternoon meal (the South Tyrolean 'Marende'). It makes of course a perfect accompaniment to wine and beer.

Color: sparkling straw yellow. Smell: The multifaceted aroma of this wine derives a combination of ripe fruit, including honeydew melon, white peach, pear and Golden Delicious apple, together with the aromas of quince jelly and dried fruit such as pear, orange and pineapple, on the one hand, and graphite notes and a hint of jasmine with a mineral touch on the other. Taste: The interplay of fruity aromatic and salty components is repeated on the palate, where the soft and creamy elements gain greater strength in a wine with a lingering, firmly minerally and spicy character on the aftertaste.
A lovely, lively perlage is matched by an extravagant and complex bouquet in which flowery notes and accents of honey, white chocolate, and dried fruits all come together. At the same time, components of exotic fruits such as pineapple, grapefruit, and mango become noticeable. The bouquet of the Cuvée Marianna is rounded out by a spicy, freshly roasted note that originates the aging and refining of the still wines in small oak casks. In the mouth, this sparkling wine immediately shows its tendency toward fullness and substance, thanks to its dense structure and a component that still needs to be "tamed" and find its balance. As a result of its freshness, its luxuriant juiciness, and its tastiness, it is an extraordinary product at every phase up to and including its long-lasting and opulent finish.
Luscious purple-ruby with a delicate aroma of undergrowth and spices, a hint of wild cherry; an elegant and full-bodied wine with ripe, juicy tannins and length. With game, well-seasoned roast red meats and matured cheeses.
