Between tradition and innovation Our family has been dedicated to the production of bacon for three generations. The love for the product and our high quality standards have always remained the same. What has become more modern and efficient is the production process, our sales outlets and our smooth service. The Koflers Lana were born to make bacon. Grandfather Augustin smoked bacon in the farm's own smokehouse for the family's own use. Son Viktor Kofler finally made bacon preparation his profession and opened his own business together with his brother a good 30 years ago. Seasoning secrets and awards What makes bacon and smoked products Viktor Kofler so special is above all the fine spice note. With their balanced aroma, our specialities have already won many awards. But our greatest award is and remains the praise of our customers. You can recognise bacon Viktor Kofler by its firm handle, its tender bite and its finely spicy aroma. The secret of the high quality lies in the careful selection of the raw materials, the artisan production and the long maturing time. But it is especially our family's own spice blend that counts. The recipe is handed down generation to generation and strictly guarded. It definitely contains laurel, juniper, salt and pepper. That's all we're going to tell you here. We have received a number of awards for the balanced and at the same time hearty taste of our bacon specialities and smoked products, which spur us on to keep refining our product range.
For the production of this liqueur, we various herbs deriving our wildflower meadows, which are sited at the altitudes of 1000 to 1300 meters. The herbs are left to infuse for approximately 45 days: the infusion is cold so that the active ingredients and properties of the raw materials could be preserved. The scent of this infusion is reminiscent of that one of the freshly harvested hay, and the taste is intense, herbaceous and persistent.
