Deion:
Ruby red. It opens with blackberries, blueberries and dark berries but, after a few minutes of oxygenation, it evolves, transmitting hints of Mediterranean scrub, bushes, woods and land breezes. On the palate it is balanced but with elegant facets typical of the vines with which it is made. Gentle but firm persistence.
Grape varierty:
30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Montepulciano, 20% Sangiovese, 10% Marselan, 10% Alicante.
Production area:
The grapes for this early accessible wine come the young vineyards, which nevertheless already contain all the virtues of Montepeloso.
Vinification:
A QUO ages for 12 months in mainly used barriques and then for about 9 months in bottle.
Matching:
Red meats, game. To be combined with jugged wild boar.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
2 - 8 years.

The Montepeloso Winery is located in the province of Livorno. The approximately 14 hectares of vineyards of the company, located on terraces ranging 50 to 200 meters above sea level, seem to almost appear in the middle of the Mediterranean scrub and are organically cultivated, harvesting the grapes in a selected and limited way.
