Domaine Alain Voge in Cornas has been a family-run farm for many generations. In 1958, Alain Voge joined his father's farm and decided to concentrate exclusively on the wines of the domaine. At that time, this was a daring decision, because the Cornas and Saint Peray appellations were still in their slumber. With his unusual and very creative approach, Alain quickly managed to raise the profile of the domaine. He recultivated vineyards that had not been farmed for over 30 years and marketed his wines, which were already extremely authentic and pure, by the bottle and on his own account in national and regional restaurants. This outstanding quality of Syrah and Marsann grapes the right bank of the Rhone convinced with its high intensity and aromaticity yesterday as well as today. The flagship of the house, Les Vieille Fontaines, is always a candidate for the Cornas of the vintage! The handcrafted one-offs Voge and his partner Alberic Mazoyeres are the pure expression of the pure terroir, not least due to the biodynamic cultivation of his plots. With this exceptional terroir, his experienced, motivated and demanding team, as well as the latest "state-of-the-art" cellar technology, Alain Voge is one of the superstars on the Nordrhone and, together with Clape, the number 1 in Cornas.
