Deion: This wine has a clear ruby color. On the nose, it is invitingly fresh and fruity with cherry aromas, violet, some yeast and lightly nutty. On the palate, it is racy and quaffable, with soft tannins, a youthful freshness and a hint of bitter almond in the finish.

Production area: The Schiava grapes grow at an altitude of 300 - 420 m on sandy morainic soils in the vineyards of Caldaro with their south/southeast exposition. Vinification: Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 26°C for 8 days, the wine is aged in stainless steel. Producer: Wine Estate Monastery Cellar Muri-Gries In 2022 the Benedictines moved Muri in Switzerland to Gries in South Tyrol, where the order took over the Augustinian monastery. In so doing, they inherited a long tradition of wine-growing, which they nurtured in the spirit of a symbiosis of monastery, winery and estate that is still very much in evidence today. The result, in the 21st century, is a range of top-quality wines MURI-GRIES like the Abtei Muri line, which has been produced selected grapes the very best sites since 1989. The MURI-GRIES wine estate comprises 35 hectares of vineyards in excellent locations in and around Bolzano and Appiano.
