Production Area: The Gewürztraminer vines, all cultivated with the guyot method, grow in clayish soil with a goodly amount of bone (a high percentage of pebbles) at altitudes varying between 400 and 650 meters. The vineyards are included in the municipalities of Montagna, Gleno, Pinzano and Mazzon with a south-western exposure.
The Wine-making method: After a brief period of steeping (contact with the grapeskins), the must is fermented at low temperatures in steel vats. Subsequently the wine matures on its yeast lees with frequent battonage (to keep the yeasts in suspension) for about six months prior to bottling.
Description of the wine: Gewürztraminer is an intense golden colour with a deep bouquet of complex fragrances such as lychees and orange peels, cloves, nutmeg and roses. The wine needs a few moments in the glass to give the best of itself. On the palate it is stimulating thanks to its structure, freshness and vivacity, with a very persistent and slightly bitter aftertaste. Gewürztraminer reaches its full development only after several months of aging in the bottle.
Pairings: The wine pairs well with liver paté, main dishes of white meat, grilled meats and shellfish, and with numerous Asian dishes and spices.
Serving Temperature: 14° - 16° C
Allergic-Info: This wine can contain sulfites

The Pinot Grigio is a fullbodied white wine which is full of extracts. It has a straw yellow colour, it smells flowery, the taste is pleasantly soft. Once it has ripened, you can taste hints of walnuts and honey.
A fine, intense aroma supported by a full but at the same time, harmonious body are characteristics of "Gewürztraminer". "Nouvelle cuisine" offers many more opportunities to enhance the characteristics of this wine. Also we recommend serving this wine with shellfish, flavoured cheeses and desserts, such as strudel.
For the gourmets among us, the delicious wild boar ham is recommended. The meat of the wild boar is not comparable to that of the domestic pig. It is aromatic and dark red in colour. Furthermore, the meat is leaner and firmer than that of the domestic pig.
