Sea level: 330 m

Soil: deep, sandy porphyry weathered soil

Slope gradient: 20-55%

Cultivation system: Pergel / Guyot / Alberello

Age of vines: 20-45 years

Grape harvest: beginning - mid September

V I N I F I C AT I O N

Grape Varieties: 90% Muscat Blanc, 10% Pinot Grigio.

Fermentation: Gentle whole-grape pressing, 12 hours maceration, natural sedimentation with subsequent temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tank.

Maturation: 100% fermentation in stainless steel with fine lees storage until beginning of January.

T A S T I N G   N O T E S

Colour: Bright golden yellow with rosé-coloured hues.

Fragrance: A genuine summer dream – pleasant floral, white melon fragrance, with mature stone fruit and subtle nutmeg bouquet combined with mild apricot.

Taste: Elegant, full-bodied taste, perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity, pleasant aromatic-mineral taste with a juicy, long-lasting aftertaste.

Recommended with the following dishes: This wine is excellent as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine.

Serving temperature: 7-9 °C

This wine is made carefully selected Gewürztraminer grapes, which comes the area of St. Pauls called St. Justina. It has a delicate, aromatic and warm-spicy flavour which reminiscent of cinnamon, nutmeg, and rose petals. It is rich and round on the palate and is one of South Tyrol's best known wines.

Fine spices, cloves and the gentle fragrance of roses characterise and emphasise the traits and the overall elegance of this im - pressive wine. It is here, on the hills between Appiano and Termeno, that the Gewürztraminer grape originated. The wine is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, especially crustaceans, lobster and crab, or to foie gras and other pâtès. Yet it is also a fine wine for enjoying on its own.
