Vine variety: 45% Corvinone; 25% Corvina gentile; 20% Rondinella; 10% Croatina and other varieties.
Harvesting, vinification and ageing: grapes harvested during the month of September and placed on bamboo tables (arele) and wooden plateaux until mid December/beginning of January in rooms which are well ventilated, without using air conditioning or dehumidification systems. The grapes are pressed in stainless steel equipment and fermentation lasts approx. 40/50 days. The technique used includes natural yeasts, racking, punching-down and ageing in 350 litre oak barrels Slavonia for about 36 months.
Notes on Tasting: Intense ruby red colour with a hint of violet. The bouquet has notes of mature, red fruits, such as cherries, amarena cherries, dried prunes, woodland fruits, blackberries and blueberries. The palate has a good, soft, ample structure and again confirms the nose, ending with spices, black pepper, canella and liquorice.
